To Whom It May Concern,
Have you ever wanted to impact lives? My answer to that question would be yes. I want to impact the lives of teenagers by instilling to them knowledge and skills through a professional caring relationship. I am currently applying to be either a world or United States history teacher.
I am a recent graduate of East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. While I was in schools I earned my B.S.E in History and a Minor in Kinesiology. I have received my Texas Teacher Certification for the grades 8-12.
I have worked with students before in volunteer and paid settings. I worked at East Texas Baptist University as a Resident Assistant and worked directly with college freshmen. In this job I helped them with their academics, school problems, or personal problems. I have also volunteered to work at Texas Super Summer for 3 years now as a small group leader. Finally I also served as a Youth Intern at First Baptist Church in Palestine, Texas.
I plan to follow up this letter with a phone call to the employer. I appreciate you taking the time and reading this letter and would love to set up an interview and speak with you personally. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Kyle N. Carroll

To Whom It May Concern,
Thank you for taking time out of your day to interview me yesterday. I really do appreciate the opportunity that you have granted me. I am excited to hear about your schools goals and philosophies. They really align with what I believe and I think that I would fit in well at your school.
A point I forgot to tell you yesterday that I feel is important is that I have obtained the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. I feel that the skills I have learned as an Eagle Scout can help me lead my students and get maximum performance from them.
Thank you again for this opportunity and I will contact you again in 2 weeks as you asked me to. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Kyle N. Carroll
